Ramana Jayanti Celebrations Jan 2015



Ramana Jayanti Celebrations of our trust were held on 03/01/2015 in Bangalore at the office premises of the trust. The following members attended the function.

The function was compered by Sri Narasayya who welcomed all the function. He informed all present that this is the 4th Ramana Jayanti being celebrated by the trust and also this is Bhagavan's 135th Jayanti which falls on the 6th of January as per the Ashram Calender. The earlier Jayanti Celebrated were held at Narasaraopet, Bangalore and Hyderabad. This being the second occasion where Ramana Jayanti is being celebrated in Bangalore. 


The programme was started by the lighting of the lamp by Sri CSSS Prasad and Smt C Annapurna, Sri CJM Rao then sung the invocation song. 

This was followed by was by recitation of Ramana Vijaya Ganamu and Ramana Panasa was done by the members by forming two groups. Sri D Naresh Babu then gave glimpses of Ramana Jeevatha Charitra and discussed the ways and means to practice the Sadhana prescribed by Sri Bhagavan by everyone. 

This was followed by the speech of Sri C L Giridhar, General Secretary who gave a brief of the activities of Ramana Bhakta Mandali Trust. He stated that all the members of the trust should take active interest in the activities of the trust. He also stated that when an organisation is formed there are bound to be some rules which every member has to follow. 

This was followed by the address by the President Sri D V S Sastry who spoke through teleconference from USA on the importance of Advent Day for all Ramana Devotees. Sri D Venkayya also joined through teleconference from Narasaraopet and spoke on the occasion. Sri DBK Murthy also joined the function through teleconference from Tanzania.

'Ramana Tatva Saramu' a handbook on the teachings of Bhagavan Ramana Maharshi written by Sri D Venkayya was released on the occasion by Sri CSSS Prasad. 
The programme concluded with the vote of thanks given by Sri D Narasayya. 
Prasadam was distributed to the devotees after the function.
